We have been brought up to believe that the mind is located inside the head. But there are good reasons for thinking that this view is too limited. Recent experimental results show that people can influence others at a distance just by looking at them, even if they look from behind and if all sensory clues are eliminated. And people's intentions can be detected by animals from miles away. The commonest kind of non-local interaction mental influence occurs in connection with telephone calls, where most people have had the experience of thinking of someone shortly before they ring. Controlled, randomized tests on telephone telepathy have given highly significant positive results. Research techniques have now been automated and experiments on telepathy are now being conducted through the internet and cell phones, enabling widespread participation.

Founded in 1975 by keyboardists Dave Stewart (from Hatfield and the North) and Alan Gowen (from Gilgamesh), the band also included guitarists Phil Miller and Phil Lee and bassist Mont Campbell as original members.
Bill Bruford was the initial drummer but was soon replaced by Pip Pyle. Campbell was replaced by Neil Murray and then John Greaves.
A frequently changing lineup toured extensively and released two LPs of often lengthy, mostly instrumental, complexly scored compositions before splitting up in 1980. After the May 1981 death of Gowen, remaining members reconvened to record the album D.S. Al Coda, a set of compositions by Gowen, most previously unrecorded. The original albums and additional archival material have subsequently been released on CD.
Their 1978 record Of Queues and Cures, which included Peter Blegvad (guitar, vocals) and Georgie Born (cello), is currently held as the third best record ever (of 53,000 candidate records) on the Gnosis web site.

14 yıldır devam eden festival, biz İstanbulluları gerçek anlamda caza doyuran yegâne olaylardan biri. Aynı zamanda cazseverler dışında daha geniş kitlelere hitap eden isimleri de bünyesinde barından ve bu sayede cazın bu kitlelere ulaşmasında önemli bir görev üstlenen İstanbul Jazz Festivali yıllarca gösterdiği başarıyla hem uluslararası saygınlık, hem de seyirciye ulaşma açısından büyük bir gelişme kaydetmiştir.
Bu sene 14.süne tanık olduğumuz festival de geleneklerine sadık kalmış ve dinleyicilerini hayal kırıklığına uğratmamıştır. Ne yazık ki bu seneki fes
